Afterwards, we made our way to the Frederic Chopin museum. It is housed in an old mansion style house and offers lots of interactive materials to get to know the life and music of Poland’s great child prodigy. Not only did it offer us some entertainment but it was a great break from the cold outside.
As the sunset was approaching, we decided to do some shopping at a local mall area to see if the clothes prices were any better but we ended up with nothing. Afterwards, we dined in a traditional pierogi restaurant and tried several different variations of one of Poland’s most famous dishes. When we got back to our hosts’ place, we were taken to their friend’s house, where we then walked to a local hill for some night sledding. Needless to say, we had a great time and can’t thank them enough for the hospitality. After sledding, we feasted on sausage, cheese, potatoes, and warm wine, a Polish delight.
