Berlin Weekend Nov. 19-21

It's been almost two months since writing here but we've been busy working, being sick, having people come visit, and trying to recover from the Scandinavian trip. It was a money killer. We went to Berlin this weekend to visit a friend we met in Chile four years ago. She was recently married and her husband's job moved them to Berlin. We decided to go this particular weekend because one of our favorite bands from back in the States was going to be playing Saturday night. We had a great time wandering around the city again and through new parts with them. We stayed with them really close to the part of the city we stayed in last time we visited. We went to a restaurant we tried last time and the burgers were still just as good. We saw some Christmas markets that were being constructed. We did get to visit the Ritter Sport Chocolate Factory, where they let you tour through a museum that shows you the process of cocoa extraction and has a wonderful cafe full of delicious desserts and coffees. The weather was a bit dreary but we had an excellent time seeing old friends and enjoying the concerts. It's hard not to enjoy being in Berlin for a few days because the city is really nice. There's really not too much more to say about it. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
